Job summary

Innovate is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join the onsite technical team on a 1-year contract. The role covers preventative maintenance of automated warehouse equipment, diagnosing faults, and keeping conveyors and AutoStore systems running smoothly.

You will work in a small team, with rotating shifts from early morning to late evening, and be the on-site contact for the customer. English is required; Dutch is a plus.

Qualifications

• Technical qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or Maintenance Engineering.
• Hands-on mindset with a passion for engineering.
• Experience with preventive maintenance practices.
• Good communication and customer-focused attitude.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Valid driving licence; ability to commute to Barendrecht within ~1 hour.
• Conversational English; Dutch a plus.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventive maintenance on automated warehouse equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
• Maintain conveyors, AutoStore systems and related automation.
• Respond quickly to breakdowns to minimise downtime.
• Escalate complex issues to remote specialists when needed.
• Be the on-site engineering contact for the customer.
• Help ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently daily.
