Job summary

Picnic, a leading European online grocery platform, seeks an experienced Continuous Improvement and Operations Manager for the Maintenance Value Stream at our on-site facility in Ridderkerk. You will translate site goals into scalable roadmaps, optimize automated workflows, and partner with cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence.

You’ll lead maintenance day-to-day, own KPI delivery across safety, quality and throughput, apply Lean, Six Sigma and Kaizen, and push data-driven

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience focused on maintenance, operational strategy, continuous improvement, or process engineering.
• Interest in automation, robotics, and facility maintenance systems.
• Proven track record applying Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen in high-volume, automated environments.
• Strong analytical skills with data tools (Tableau, Excel, SQL).
• Strategic mindset with cross-functional influence.
• Fluent in English; Dutch is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Maintenance value stream day-by-day, coaching teams to meet availability targets.
• Define and execute the long-term performance roadmap across safety, quality, throughput.
• Lead Kaizen, Lean initiatives and root-cause analyses to drive improvements.
• Analyze workflows with data to remove bottlenecks and boost reliability.
• Bridge maintenance with suppliers, planning, analysts, and operations for end-to-end flow.
• Oversee site-wide safety standards and 5S and governance.
