As an Assistant Housekeeping Manager, you are the face of our housekeeping department. You ensure that all housekeeping operations run smoothly – from room cleaning to supplier contacts – and support the team in creating an exceptional guest experience, even in the most dynamic circumstances that an airport location brings.

Radisson Blu Hotel Amsterdam Airport is a modern four-star airport hotel, conveniently located near Schiphol Airport and Amsterdam. With 281 comfortable rooms, 19 versatile meeting rooms, and one large ballroom, we host a wide range of conferences, meetings, and international events. Job Description

What will you do?



  • Ensuring that the housekeeping department runs smoothly and efficiently. Make sure that guests receive a high level of service and that hotel and company standards are followed at all times.

  • Lead and work closely with the housekeeping team to ensure high standards of cleanliness, guest comfort and guest satisfaction. Respond positively and efficiently to questions, requests and problems.

  • Taking responsibility for achieving the department's goals and business objectives. Take responsibility for assigned tasks and take over the department when the Housekeeping Manager is absent.

  • Maintain a positive working environment where team members can learn, develop and perform at their best, while promoting the company's culture and values.

  • Controlling departmental costs, supplies and inventory, while ensuring productivity and performance targets are achieved.

  • Build and maintain good working relationships with colleagues, other departments, suppliers and external partners. Ensure that communication and tasks are handled clearly and on time.

  • Take an active role in improving housekeeping procedures and service standards. Support initiatives that improve guest satisfaction, productivity, cost control and sustainability.

  • Ensure that all relevant health, safety, hygiene and legal requirements are followed. Make sure that required procedures and documentation are completed correctly and support internal and external audits when needed.

Qualifications



  • Experience in a similar housekeeping, supervisory role within hospitality;

  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English;

  • Skilled with Microsoft Office software

  • Ability to handle guest requests and operational issues effectively;

  • Ability to find creative solutions, offering advice and recommendations;

  • Ability to handle multiple challenging priorities and assignments

  • Availability to work rotating morning, day and evening shifts;

  • A hands-on and service-oriented approach and lead-by-example work style, with the ability to support the team in daily housekeeping operations;

  • An open, positive and communicative personality

  • Strong communication and listening skills
