Job summary

Mandarin Oriental Conservatorium in Amsterdam is seeking an Assistant Banqueting Manager to join our Banqueting Operations team. You will oversee the daily operation of the hotel’s Banqueting department and ensure service excellence.

You will lead the banqueting teams, coordinate with Sales and Culinary, and maintain high standards while delivering seamless events. Dutch language is a plus, and flexibility for shifts is required.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in Banqueting in a hotel or conference centre.
• Experience in a similar position of (assistant) manager or team leader.
• Good knowledge of the English language (Dutch is a plus).
• To be organised, a problem solver and adaptable.
• Ability to work flexible shifts on weekdays, weekends and late nights.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the daily operation of the hotel’s Banqueting department.
• Supervise the banqueting teams, organise team meetings, internal communication, training and administration.
• Ensure that our service is performed to its highest level and in full compliance with our standards.
• Showcase efficient daily communication with our Sales and Culinary team to ensure seamless communication between your departments.
