3devo B.V. in Utrecht is seeking an Assembly Technician to join our Production team. You will assemble components, test assemblies, and operate production equipment in a hands-on role within a close-knit, growth-focused company.

Qualifications

• Fluent English is required; Dutch is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assemble components and sub-assemblies according to drawings and work instructions.
• Test and inspect assemblies for accuracy, quality and performance.

• Troubleshoot minor issues during assembly and improve processes.
• Collaborate with engineering/production to solve challenges.
• Support logistics and warehouse tasks as needed.
• Use daily computer systems, including AI-assisted tools.

Your mission

3devo B.V. is looking for a skilled Assembly Technician to join our Production team. We're a small, growing company and a leading innovator in plastic recycling and filament-processing technology for additive manufacturing.

Our product range — filament extruders, shredders, and more — is designed, developed, and built entirely in-house. We recently launched the newest version of our Filament Maker Two and are actively working on a range of add‑ons to make our machines even better. We're growing, and we could really use an extra pair of hands.

At 3devo, your work has real impact — our machines are used by people all over the world. As an Assembly Technician, you'll help build and test the products that make that possible, making sure everything that leaves our workshop meets our standards for quality, safety, and function. You'll tackle a variety of technical challenges, and no two days will look quite the same. We're a small, multidisciplinary team, so you'll work both independently and side by side with colleagues. What matters most to us is that you're genuinely interested in the 3D printing industry and curious about where it's headed.

Your profile

Your responsibilities

• Assemble components and sub-assemblies according to engineering drawings and work instructions.
• Test and inspect assemblies for accuracy, quality, and performance — some of this happens in our ESD-safe area, which you'll learn on the job.
• Operate and maintain assembly equipment and tools.
• Follow safety protocols and keep your workspace clean and organized.
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor issues during the assembly process.
• Work closely with engineering and production to tackle challenges and improve how we build things.
• Pitch in on logistics and warehouse tasks when needed — in a team our size, roles overlap and we help each other out.
• Use the computer systems we work with day to day, including the AI-assisted tools we're starting to introduce.

What we're looking for

• Above all, energy and passion that fits our team. We'd rather teach the skills than turn away the right person — for most people who join us, this is all brand new.
• A hands-on, practical, and structured approach to work.
• A good eye for detail and a knack for solving problems as they come up.
• Comfortable working with computer systems, and open to learning new ones (including the AI-assisted tools we're introducing) as we go.
• Flexible — happy to help wherever it's needed, whether that's assembly, testing, or logistics.
• Fluent in English (Dutch is a plus).
• Experience in assembly or a technical field is a plus, but not a requirement.
