Job summary

DEME Group is seeking an experienced Tender & Acquisition Manager Subsea Cables for APAC to develop commercial opportunities and lead complex tenders for offshore cable projects. You will oversee the full lifecycle from market engagement to contract negotiation, coordinating multidisciplinary teams across engineering, operations and legal.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, marine technology or business.
• At least 7 years in offshore energy, subsea cables, marine construction, tendering or business development.
• Understanding of subsea cable installation, burial and protection; export/array cables and landfalls are a plus.
• Knowledge of commercial and contractual aspects of complex EPC/EPCI or marine installation projects.
• Combine commercial awareness with technical curiosity and translate client needs into solutions.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills across cultures and levels.
• Structured, proactive and decisive with ability to lead teams under deadlines.
• Fluent in English; willingness to travel regularly within APAC; additional languages a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop a strong pipeline of subsea cable opportunities across APAC via market intelligence and client engagement.
• Build relationships with developers, utilities, cable manufacturers, partners and subcontractors.
• Lead opportunity qualification and bid/no-bid recommendations per DEME strategy and risk appetite.
• Translate client requirements into a clear tender strategy and execution plan.
• Lead multidisciplinary tender teams across Engineering, Operations, Legal, Finance, Procurement, QHSE and Project Controls.
• Drive technical concepts, schedules, cost estimates, pricing and commercial proposals.
• Identify and manage risks and opportunities through internal review and approval processes.
• Coordinate partners, suppliers and subcontractors, including commercial agreements.
• Lead client clarifications, negotiations and contract finalisation with internal stakeholders.
• Support a smooth handover from tender to project execution.
