Job summary

We ARE Renewables is seeking an experienced Tender & Acquisition Manager – Subsea Cables APAC to lead opportunities across Asia-Pacific while based in the Netherlands. You will drive commercial strategies, coordinate cross-disciplinary teams and shape competitive bids for major offshore cable projects.

You will build relationships with developers, utilities and suppliers, assess risks, and guide bids from opportunity to contract award.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Marine Technology, Business or a related field.
At least 7 years of relevant experience in offshore energy, subsea cables, marine construction, tendering or business development.
Understanding of subsea cable installation, burial and protection.
Experience with export or array cables, interconnectors or landfalls is an advantage.
Understanding of EPC/EPCI or marine installation projects commercial aspects.
Strong commercial awareness with technical ability to develop solutions.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills; ability to build relationships.
Willingness to travel regularly across the APAC region.

Responsibilities

Developing a strong pipeline of subsea cable opportunities across APAC through market intelligence, networking and client engagement.
Building and maintaining relationships with developers, utilities, cable manufacturers, partners and subcontractors.
Assessing opportunities and leading bid/no-bid recommendations in line with the company's strategy and risk appetite.
Translating client requirements and contractual conditions into a clear tender strategy and execution plan.
Leading multidisciplinary tender teams across Engineering, Operations, Legal, Finance, Procurement, QHSE and Project Controls.
Driving technical concepts, project schedules, cost estimates, pricing and commercial proposals.
Identifying, assessing and managing key risks and opportunities throughout the tender process.
Coordinating partners, suppliers and subcontractors, including commercial and contractual agreements.
Leading client clarifications, commercial discussions and contract negotiations together with internal stakeholders.
Ensuring a smooth and effective handover from tender to project execution.
