ABN AMRO Clearing is seeking a Chapter Lead for frontend engineering to guide a chapter of engineers in Angular and TypeScript. The role combines hands-on delivery with people leadership, shaping frontend architecture and standards across squads.

You will define best practices, drive engineering maturity, and mentor engineers while delivering high-quality, scalable frontend solutions in a global, hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• Expert-level knowledge in Angular and TypeScript for enterprise-scale applications.
• Strong understanding of frontend architecture, APIs, and DevOps practices.
• Experience defining and maintaining engineering standards and frameworks.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, testing, and cloud-native development.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a chapter of 4–15 engineers (internal and external).
• Drive performance management, growth conversations, and career development for chapter members.
• Build a strong engineering culture focused on craftsmanship, ownership, and continuous learning.
• Act as a mentor and coach, supporting both soft and hard skill development.
• Ensure employee engagement, retention, and professional development within the chapter.
• Act as a thought leader in Angular and TypeScript, setting direction and standards.
• Define and enforce frontend architecture, design principles, and coding standards.
• Ensure delivery of high-quality, scalable, and secure frontend applications.
• Guide teams in modern frontend engineering practices (testing, CI/CD, performance, accessibility).
• Contribute hands-on to complex technical implementations.
