Job summary

Luscii, part of the OMRON Digital Health Circle, is seeking an Android Developer to build and improve mobile apps that connect patients, devices and healthcare professionals. You will own features from concept to production, applying modern architectures and best practices in a healthcare context.

You will work with Kotlin, Coroutines, Flow, Jetpack Compose, MVVM/MVI, CI/CD, and testing, with autonomy in a Holacratic environment. Remote-first, with team days in the Netherlands.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of experience in Android or mobile development.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or comparable field, plus Agile experience.
• Experience with clean architecture and design patterns (MVVM/MVI) and applying them to maintainable mobile apps.
• Experience with Jetpack Compose, mobile unit/UI testing, CI/CD pipelines and Android design guidelines.
• Understanding of mobile performance, memory management, multithreading, networking, debugging and optimization, and working with web services, cloud platforms and APIs.
• Open to working in a Holacratic organization and curious about our way of organizing work.
• Fluent in English for internal communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimise Android applications in Kotlin with focus on performance, stability and user experience.
• Shape mobile architecture and technical solutions using solid design principles.
• Build prototypes and proofs of concept to explore ideas early.
• Develop features that communicate with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) devices.
• Investigate and resolve production issues using debugging and performance analysis.
• Review code and share technical guidelines with colleagues across teams.
• Explore mobile developments like Jetpack Compose and Kotlin Multiplatform and recommend improvements.
