Job summary

Altum Consulting in Amsterdam seeks a Senior Fund Accountant to join an international private equity investment firm. You will own a portfolio of financial accounting activities and collaborate with Treasury, Tax, Legal and external teams to deliver accurate reporting.

We expect 3-6 years in accounting or audit, a Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance, and a professional qualification (CA/CPA/ACA/RA/RC). Fluent English and ERP experience are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

3-6 years’ relevant accounting or audit experience.
A Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
A formal professional qualification such as CA/CPA/ACA/RA/RC or equivalent.
Strong technical accounting and analytical skills with attention to detail.
Ability to take ownership, work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Fluency in English both written and verbal.
Experience with ERP systems and MS Office.

Responsibilities

Supporting the month-end and year-end close processes across management entities.
Preparing, reviewing and reconciling financial information and management accounts.
Reviewing and approving invoices and supporting the Accounts Payable function.
Accounting for a range of transactions, including management fees, expenses, accruals, compensation and tax-related items.
Supporting internal and external audit processes, including financial, SOX and ISAE audits.
Assisting with internal and external billing activities.
Identifying opportunities to improve accounting processes, systems and controls.
Working across multiple accounting standards, including US GAAP and Dutch GAAP.
