Job summary

Altana is seeking a senior leader to head our AI Deployment Engineers in Amsterdam. You will drive delivery across multiple customer implementations, aligning engineering, data science, and product teams to deploy agentic AI in production.

You will own the portfolio, set roadmaps, and ensure measurable outcomes with a senior technical partner mindset. This role is based in Amsterdam with travel to customer sites as needed.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in customer-facing technical delivery or related roles.
• 2+ years leading engineers or technical delivery teams.
• Proven track record of building high-performing technical teams delivering complex work.
• Player-coach mindset with ability to go deep technically when needed.
• Strong communication and coordination across multiple teams and stakeholders.
• Ability to translate customer needs into agentic AI solutions and set realistic expectations.
• Bias toward automation, standards, and repeatability.

Responsibilities

• Hire, coach, and grow a team of AI Deployment Engineers with clear expectations and career development.
• Own team capacity and staffing across multiple customer implementations.
• Establish operating rhythms: planning, reviews, and retrospectives for multiple implementations.
• Set technical bar for agentic deployment: prompts, tool integrations, guardrails, and orchestration.
• Engage customers as a senior technical partner across accounts; translate needs into feasible AI solutions.
