Job summary

Alibaba Cloud is seeking a Solutions Architect to design cloud architectures for enterprise customers across Europe, focusing on compute, storage, networking, databases, containers, Kubernetes, landing zones, and big data platforms. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI, or a related field.
• 4+ years in cloud computing, solution architecture, software engineering, or similar technical roles (pre-sales preferred).
• Hands-on experience with public cloud platforms, containers, networking, databases, and cloud architecture.
• Practical experience with AI technologies, especially generative AI, LLMs, multimodal models, model inference, or enterprise AI applications.
• Strong communication skills and ability to translate complex technical solutions for both technical and business stakeholders.
• Fluent English; Dutch or German language skills are a plus; comfortable working in an international team.

Responsibilities

• Design cloud solutions for enterprise customers across Europe, covering compute, storage, networking, databases, containers, Kubernetes, landing zones, and big data platforms.
• Help customers design and implement cloud architectures, including cloud migration, application modernization, hybrid cloud, security, high availability, and disaster recovery.
• Provide technical guidance on cloud infrastructure, including network connectivity, IAM, infrastructure automation, performance optimization, and cost management.
• Design AI solutions using LLMs, image, voice, and video models, as well as AI agents; support model deployment, inference optimization, and app development.
• Work with sales teams through pre-sales processes: customer meetings, technical workshops, demos, PoCs, and technical proposals.

• Help customers design and implement cloud architectures, including cloud migration, application modernization, hybrid cloud, security, high availability, and disaster recovery.
• Provide technical guidance on cloud infrastructure, including network connectivity, identity and access management, infrastructure automation, performance optimization, and cost management.
• Design AI solutions using large language models (LLMs), image, voice, and video models, as well as AI agents. Support model deployment, inference optimization, and AI application development.
• Understand AI trends and industry use cases, identify customer needs, and turn cloud and AI technologies into practical business solutions.
• Work closely with sales teams throughout the pre-sales process, including customer meetings, technical workshops, architecture design, demos, PoCs, and technical proposals.
• Take ownership of technical engagements, work with product and engineering teams to address customer requirements, and help move business opportunities forward.
• Stay up to date with cloud and AI technologies, share technical knowledge, and contribute to reusable solutions and best practices within the global solution architect team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI, or a related field.
• At least 4 years of relevant experience in cloud computing, solution architecture, software engineering, or similar technical roles. Pre‑sales experience is strongly preferred.
• Solid understanding of cloud technologies and hands‑on experience with public cloud platforms, including containers, networking, databases and cloud architecture.
• Practical experience with AI technologies, especially generative AI, LLMs, multimodal models, model inference, or enterprise AI applications.
• Good communication skills and the ability to understand customer needs and explain technical solutions clearly and work with both technical and business stakeholders.
• Strong learning ability, with the flexibility to pick up new technologies quickly and adapt to changing business needs and organizational priorities.
• Proactive, responsible, and results-driven, with a strong interest in AI and the ambition to grow and succeed in this fast-moving industry.
• Fluent English is required. Dutch or German language skills would be a strong plus.
• Comfortable working in an international team and collaborating with colleagues across different countries.
