SDG Group Netherlands – an ALTEN company is seeking an AI Tech Pre-Sales Solutions Architect to bridge business and delivery teams in the Dutch and international markets.

You will translate complex AI concepts into compelling value propositions, acting as a trusted technical advisor to potential clients and guiding Enterprise AI roadmaps with a focus on governance, MLOps, and scale.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in AI, Data Science, Cloud Architecture, or technical consulting.
• Experience in technical pre-sales, solution architecture, or client-facing advisory roles is highly valued.
• Professional fluency in Dutch and English is mandatory for presenting and negotiating with stakeholders.
• Solid understanding of enterprise AI solution design, including AI platform selection and MLOps.
• Familiarity with Azure, Databricks, Snowflake, and other hyperscalers is valuable.
• Knowledge of TF, PyTorch, Hugging Face, or OpenAI tools is a plus.
• Degree in CS, Math, Statistics, Engineering or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with clients and internal teams to uncover AI priorities and translate needs into AI use cases.
• Design and present enterprise AI architectures spanning platform selection and cloud infra.
• Develop prototypes and collaborate with sales to create technical and commercial proposals.

Position Overview

This strategic technical role bridges the gap between our business development team and our technical AI delivery squads. As an AI Tech Pre-Sales Solutions Architect, you will combine deep technical expertise in enterprise AI platforms and cloud architecture with excellent client-facing skills within the Dutch and international markets.

Crucially, you will act as the translator between technical AI architecture and executive strategy—taking complex platform and solution concepts and turning them into compelling commercial value propositions. You will be a trusted technical advisor, helping potential clients envision, adopt, and scale the right AI solutions to fit their unique business challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Client & Opportunity Engagement: Partner with clients and internal account teams to uncover AI priorities, business challenges, and strategic goals. Qualify opportunities, build trusted relationships with technical and executive stakeholders, and translate client needs into clearly defined AI usecases.
• Solution Architecture & Design: Design and present enterprise AI solution architectures tailored to client needs- spanning AI platform selection, cloud infrastructure, and GenAI/agentic application patterns. Ensure designs prioritize governance, scalability, MLOps, and seamless integration with the broader data ecosystem.
• Commercial Proposal Creation: Own the technical workstream of the AI sales cycle from initial discovery through to close. Develop prototypes to showcase our experience to customers. Collaborate with sales and technical teams to design, develop and deliver compelling technical and commercial proposals with a strong focus on ROI, value proposition, and business impact.
• AI Roadmap & Partnerships: Guide clients on the most effective AI roadmaps. Leverage SDG’s strong alliances with major AI hyperscalers (Microsoft, Google, AWS, Databricks, Snowflake) and data platforms to strategically position our offerings and drive modern innovation strategies.
• Stay Ahead of Trends: Keep up with fast-moving industry trends and emerging AI technologies (LLMs, Neural Networks, Agentic AI) to contribute to SDG’s internal knowledge base and reusable assets through SDGiLabs.

What We Look For

• Professional Experience: minimum 5 years of experience in AI, Data Science, Cloud Architecture, or technical consulting fields, with a background that demonstrates hands-on delivery foundation and technical depth.
• Pre-Sales Expertise: Prior experience in technical pre-sales, solution architecture, or client-facing advisory roles is highly valued. Candidates coming from senior delivery or engineering backgrounds with a strong commercial mindset and sharp communication skills are welcome.
• Languages: Professional fluency in both Dutch and English is mandatory. You must be comfortable presenting and negotiating in both languages with local and international stakeholders.
• AI & GenAI Architecture Knowledge: Solid understanding of enterprise AI solution design, including AI platform selection, MLOps methodologies, solution lifecycles, and modern Generative AI/agentic application patterns.
• Tools & Platforms: Familiarity or hands-on exposure to Azure, Databricks and Snowflake AI platforms. Knowledge in other hyperscalers AI platforms such as AWS SageMaker or GCP Vertex AI will be valuable.
• Frameworks: Knowledge of frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face, or OpenAI tools is a strong plus
• Education: Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related technical field. Equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
