Job summary

Vanderlande Industries is seeking an Integration Engineer to deliver complex airport systems from design into operation. You will verify that systems perform as designed, work with Solution Architects, engineering teams, suppliers and customers to transform designs into reliable, operational solutions.

You will travel about 60% of the time and support integration, testing, troubleshooting and validation to ensure a smooth handover to daily airport operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, Industrial Automation, Information Technology, Logistics, or a related field.
• Good understanding of systems engineering principles and structured testing methodologies.
• Analytical problem solver with attention to detail and a system-level perspective.
• Understanding of how system components interact and contribute to performance.
• Ability to work with engineers, suppliers, customers and stakeholders in multidisciplinary environments.
• Clear and confident English communication.
• Proactive, takes ownership and enjoys solving technical challenges.
• Willing to travel about 60% of the time (travel depends on project phases).
• Security clearance (VOG and in some cases VGB) can be part of the role.
• Experience with industrial automation, PLCs, software integration or IT infrastructure.
• Experience with automated test tools or test management tools.
• ISTQB or similar testing certification.

Responsibilities

• Execute integration, system, and customer acceptance tests in factory and on-site environments.
• Develop test plans, test cases, and test procedures based on system design, customer requirements, and risk assessments.
• Prepare and configure test environments and test tooling.
• Analyse test results, identify root causes, and verify solutions.
• Support the integration of mechanical, controls, software, and IT components into a single operational system.
• Collaborate with engineers, suppliers, customers, and project stakeholders, ensuring clear and effective communication throughout the integration and testing phases.
• Monitor progress, document results, and report findings.
• Contribute to the successful handover of systems into operational use.
