Job summary

Michael Page (Netherlands) is seeking an air freight export specialist to manage end-to-end air freight processes from booking to invoicing. You will interact with customers and cross-functional teams across the Netherlands, Europe, and international service groups.

The role requires 2–3 years of air freight experience, strong English, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Dutch is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

Job Description

• Manage the complete air freight export process from start to finish.
• Handle bookings, pre-alerts, customs documentation, deliveries, and invoicing.
• Maintain proactive communication with customers and keep them informed throughout the entire shipment process.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the Netherlands, Europe, and international shared service teams.
• Independently identify, troubleshoot, and resolve operational and administrative issues.
• Support reporting, documentation, and customer-specific requests.

The Successful Applicant

• Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in air freight, preferably with a focus on exports
• Strong command of the English language, both written and spoken
• Customer-oriented, proactive, and a strong communicator
• Able to work independently and effectively prioritize tasks
• Flexible and comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Knowledge of international air freight regulations and documentation is an advantage
• Dutch language skills are a plus, but not required
• An IATA Dangerous Goods Certificate and/or Security Awareness Certificate is considered a strong advantage
