Job summary

Metyis AG is seeking an AI Solution Engineer in Amsterdam with 1–2 years of experience for a full-time position in our Data & Analytics team. You will support AI solution development, data preparation, and experiment with LLM-based applications in a collaborative, learning-focused environment.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of professional experience in software engineering, data science, data engineering, AI, or a related technical field.
• Basic to intermediate programming skills in at least one modern language; Python is a plus.
• Familiarity with Git and basic software engineering practices.
• Hands-on exposure to LLM-based applications, prompt engineering, or generative AI.
• Basic understanding of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and external data integration.
• Understanding of fundamental data concepts, data quality, structures, semantics, and governance.
• Awareness of the AI landscape, including LLMs, multimodal models, AI agents, and tools.
• Exposure to knowledge graphs, ontologies, semantic data models, or orchestration frameworks is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with business impact mindset.
• Ability and willingness to learn quickly and collaborate with others.
• Good communication skills and English fluency; additional languages are a plus.
• Experience in international, consulting, or scale-up environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support the development, testing, and continuous improvement of AI solutions through the lifecycle.
• Work with data teams to prepare data foundations for AI use cases and RAG pipelines.
• Assist in implementing and testing prompts, context strategies, and AI applications.
• Collaborate with senior colleagues to translate business challenges into AI use cases and workflows.
• Research and experiment with new AI models, tools, and frameworks and share learnings.
• Contribute to developing and testing AI agents and orchestration workflows under guidance.
• Help document AI solutions, methodologies, prompts, experiments, and learnings.
• Support monitoring of AI solutions and implement improvements based on feedback.
