DEGIRO is seeking an AI Engineer to join our AI Hub in Amsterdam. You will architect and build scalable AI platforms, leveraging LLMs, RAG, tool calling, and enterprise integrations.

You’ll own end-to-end AI solutions, with a focus on security, reliability, and deployability across environments. You will develop production-grade AI applications, reusable components, and data pipelines, while collaborating with product, architecture, and security teams to raise standards and enable teams to

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on Python software engineering experience.
• Practical experience building applications with Generative AI, LLMs, and modern AI development frameworks.
• Experience with RAG architectures, retrieval strategies, embeddings, vector search, and integrating data.
• Familiarity with agentic AI, tool calling, orchestration, context management, and integrations.
• Strong experience designing and developing APIs, backend services, and integrations.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, CI/CD, automated deployment, and Kubernetes or similar orchestration.
• Understanding of software testing, debugging, monitoring, and observability for AI systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain production-grade AI applications using Python and reusable architectural patterns.
• Develop intelligent applications with LLMs, RAG, tool calling, and agentic AI.
• Build APIs, connectors, and integration layers with enterprise systems.
• Design retrieval solutions including embeddings, vector databases, and semantic search.
• Create secure, scalable data pipelines for enterprise data in AI apps.
• Package, deploy, and operate AI services with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Develop testing, evaluation, and regression frameworks for AI outputs.
• Implement monitoring and observability for performance and reliability.
• Own end-to-end AI solutions from experimentation to production.
