Job summary

Adyen is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineering Team Lead for Operations to drive AI-driven operational redesign at scale. You will set direction, identify high-value use cases, and lead a small team of AI specialists to deliver practical, measurable improvements across the Ops function.

You will collaborate with central engineering and business enablement to translate operational needs into scalable solutions, track value, and ensure real outcomes with a strong emphasis on governance and risk

Qualifications

• Strong operational judgement and ability to redesign workflows in practice.
• Credibility with engineers and technical partners on architectures and trade-offs.
• Deep curiosity in AI and adjacent technology and market trends.

Responsibilities

• Set the AI and innovation direction for Operations with a focus on meaningful impact.
• Identify and prioritise high-value use cases based on business value and readiness.
• Lead the central Ops innovation model and support domain-led re-engineering.
• Manage a small team of Forward Deployed AI specialists to deliver scalable solutions.
• Build credibility for AI across Ops with practical examples and risk awareness.
• Stay current on the AI landscape and translate insights into Ops strategy.
• Coordinate with central engineering and capability teams to connect new capabilities to Ops needs.
• Represent Operations in central engineering and track progress toward outcomes.
