Job summary

Vattenfall is seeking an AI Engineer to help build enterprise-scale AI capabilities across Europe. You will work with software engineers, data scientists and stakeholders to deliver AI-powered solutions that empower colleagues to work smarter and faster on Azure.

The role focuses on production-grade AI services, API integrations, data onboarding and secure scalable architecture within a dynamic, diverse and flexible work environment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or related discipline.
• Solid experience in software engineering, preferably with Python.
• Experience developing cloud-native applications and services.
• Understanding of machine learning concepts and modern AI technologies.
• Experience working with APIs, integrations and distributed systems.
• Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Structured problem solving and solution design.

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing and maintaining production-grade AI applications on Microsoft Azure.
• Building RAG solutions, enterprise search and knowledge discovery platforms.
• Developing APIs and integrations with SharePoint, ServiceNow and HR systems.
• Onboarding enterprise data sources for AI consumption.
• Developing AI agents and automation to improve employee experiences.
• Contributing to AI architecture, governance and platform enablement across Vattenfall.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to translate opportunities into scalable, secure solutions.
• Assisting in evaluating new AI technologies and engineering approaches.
