Wypoon Technologies BV is seeking an experienced AI Engineer to design, build, and deploy scalable AI applications for enterprise clients in Amsterdam. You will work with Python, Azure, Docker, and Kubernetes to deliver cloud-native AI solutions and integrate AI/ML capabilities across APIs and data sources.

The role emphasizes hands-on AI/ML engineering, modern software architectures, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in software or AI engineering.
• Strong Python programming and production-grade app development.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud-native development.
• Docker and Kubernetes experience, preferably AKS.
• Experience deploying AI/ML/LLM solutions in real-world environments.
• Familiarity with Generative AI, LLMs, Azure OpenAI, or similar tech.
• Experience with REST APIs, backend development, and modern architectures.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and production deployment practices.
• Understanding of scalable, secure cloud architectures and MLOps/LLMOps.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable AI applications and services using Python and Microsoft Azure.
• Build and maintain cloud‑native AI solutions using Docker, Kubernetes (AKS), and CI/CD pipelines.
• Develop and integrate AI/ML and LLM‑powered solutions with enterprise applications, APIs, and data sources.
• Work with Generative AI technologies, including Azure OpenAI, RAG architectures, and AI agents, depending on project requirements.
• Contribute to the deployment, monitoring, security, and performance optimization of AI applications in production.
• Collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, and platform teams to deliver reliable and scalable AI solutions.
• Apply software engineering best practices to ensure code quality, maintainability, and system reliability.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering, AI engineering, or related technical roles, including hands‑on AI/ML engineering experience.
• Strong Python programming skills and experience developing production‑grade applications.
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud‑native application development.
• Practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes, preferably Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Experience developing, integrating, or deploying AI/ML solutions in real‑world environments.
• Practical experience with Generative AI, LLMs, Azure OpenAI, or similar AI technologies.
• Experience with REST APIs, backend development, and modern software architectures.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and production deployment practices.
• Understanding of scalable, secure, and reliable cloud architectures.
• Experience with modern AI technologies and architectures, such as RAG, vector databases, Azure AI Search, or AI agents.
• Familiarity with AI deployment and operational practices, including MLOps/LLMOps, infrastructure automation, or monitoring and observability.
• Strong English communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Agentic AI frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, or AutoGen.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Bicep.
• Knowledge of AI security, evaluation, guardrails, and performance optimization.
