Job summary

MR MARVIS is pursuing an AI-native transformation across its commerce platform, embedding AI-driven discovery, customer-facing assistants, and governance to scale responsibly. You will be the technical owner of AI, reporting to the Tech Director and turning ambition into ROI-driven backlog while ensuring reliability and adoption.

You will define architecture, prototype quickly, and drive productionization with cross-functional teams in a hybrid Amsterdam setup.

Qualifications

Must be genuinely AI-native with hands-on AI systems experience.
Excellent stakeholder management with ability to align teams and communicate crisply in exec forums.
Strong analytical mindset; define metrics first and let data drive decisions.
Pragmatic and shipping-focused; capable of delivering with measurement and iteration.
You should be comfortable being the most AI-fluent person in the room and explain complex topics clearly.

Responsibilities

Define AI architecture and vendor choices with evidence-based calls.
Integrate AI systems with Shopify, Sanity, Algolia, BigQuery and internal APIs.
Prototype PoCs, build end-to-end, and productionize AI initiatives with monitoring and rollback paths.
Lead discovery with non-technical stakeholders and translate business needs into technical designs.
Establish governance, data readiness checks, risk assessment, and rollout playbooks.
