Job summary

Philips invites applications for an Internship: AI & Automation (non-thesis) in Best, Netherlands. Start as soon as possible for a 6‑month term with 40h/week (min 32h) presence at the Best location, 3 days per week.

You will identify, prototype and evaluate high‑value AI/automation use cases for security assessments, collaborating with security specialists, engineers and researchers. You will document approaches, measure outcomes, ensure privacy and information‑security compliance, and

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor or Master degree in Data Science, AI, Computer Science, Cybersecurity or related discipline.
• Experience with data analysis and rapid prototyping through coursework, projects or previous work.
• Able to explain technical findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Comfort with incomplete or imperfect real‑world data.
• Curious, proactive and interested in information security.

Responsibilities

• Identify and prioritize opportunities to improve security control framework through AI and automation.
• Map assessment workflows, stakeholder needs, data sources and constraints.
• Prepare, structure and analyze real-world security data.
• Develop proof-of-concept AI-assisted or automated workflows and support pilot progression.
