Job summary

GKN Aerospace is expanding its Manufacturing Engineering team at Fokker Landing Gear in Papendrecht and seeks a Manufacturing Engineer for the Assembly team. You will ensure efficient production of landing gear components and support delivery of projects prioritizing safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing engineering and industrialization.
• 5+ years in manufacturing engineering, aerospace preferred.
• Degree in Aerospace/Mechanical/Automotive engineering.
• Ability to influence and build cross-functional relations.
• LEAN processes knowledge.
• Quality system knowledge (ISO9000/AS9100/D1-9000).
• Machining and surface treatment knowledge is a plus.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical solutions with safety-first mindset.
• Provide technical support for manufacturing development and integration.
• Resolve vendor schedule and quality issues.
• Use root cause analysis to reduce non-conformances.
• Implement tooling and production planning from concept to production.
• Oversee product development, first article development, configuration changes, build process.
• Deliver measurable results aligned with goals.
• Maintain positive relationships with customers and colleagues.
• Continuously improve production processes with Lean initiatives.
