Job summary

TNO’s Sustainable Mobility group offers an internship focused on fabricating advanced lightweight composite parts using additive manufacturing. You will design custom deposition paths for curved surfaces and translate digital designs into physical parts using state-of-the-art AM equipment, validating performance through hands-on experiments.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with Python and Grasshopper is desirable.
• Basic CAD modelling and drawing skills are required.
• Experience with additive manufacturing or robotics is preferred.
• Available for a minimum duration of 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop deposition paths and material layouts for curved/complex surfaces.
• Translate digital designs to physical parts using advanced AM equipment.
• Validate performance through hands-on experiments and testing.
• Collaborate with researchers to advance thermoplastic composite fabrication.
