Job summary

TNO is offering an internship in Sustainable Mobility focused on fabricating advanced lightweight composite parts using additive manufacturing. You will work with researchers to design custom deposition paths for curved surfaces and validate them on state-of-the-art AM equipment.

As a motivated student in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Design Engineering, you will combine programming with design, learn to translate digital designs into physical parts, and gain hands-on experience while

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Python and computational design tools like Grasshopper.
  • Basic CAD modelling and drawing skills.
  • Previous experience with additive manufacturing or robotics.

Responsibilities

  • Design custom deposition paths and material layouts for curved surfaces.
  • Translate digital designs into physical parts using state-of-the-art AM equipment.
  • Validate performance through hands-on experiments and iterative testing.
