Job summary

Protect.ngo foundation in The Hague is seeking an Intern/Young Professional to join our Operations Team. You will support day-to-day office operations while gaining hands-on experience at the intersection of cybersecurity and humanitarian work.

Ideal candidates are enrolled students or recent graduates with basic cybersecurity knowledge, fluent Dutch and English, and a collaborative, proactive mindset. This six to twelve month position offers growth in a mission-driven, global team environment.

Qualifications

  • An enrolled student/recent graduate (HBO, Bachelor's or Master's level) in a relevant field.
  • Possess foundational knowledge of cybersecurity concepts and principles.
  • Has a basic understanding of how the Dutch market works.
  • Fluent in both Dutch and English, written and spoken.
  • An outgoing personality with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
  • Curious, eager to learn, and ready to take initiative.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Operations Team with growing our impact in the Netherlands and in Europe by supporting in existing programs and assisting in finding new opportunities.
  • Contribute to project administration and documentation.
  • Help organize meetings, events, and stakeholder engagements.
  • Provide general office support and assist with ad-hoc operational needs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across different teams and time zones.

Protect.ngo is a Switzerland- and Netherlands-based foundation dedicated to protecting those who protect others. We are seeking a motivated Intern/Young Professional to join our Operations Team in The Hague. This is an excellent opportunity for a student/recent graduate eager to launch their career at the intersection of cybersecurity and humanitarian work. You will support the day-to-day operations of our office while gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.

Your main tasks will include the following:

  • Requirement: tripartite internship convention/agreement preferred but applicants who finalized their educational program will also be considered

  • Start date: as soon as possible

  • Duration: 6-12 months (flexible, renewable upon review)

  • Working rate: ideally full-time (32 hours per week)

  • Location: The Hague, Netherlands
