Job summary

Mandarin Oriental Conservatorium Amsterdam is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our Finance & Accounting team. The role involves processing supplier invoices, matching with purchase orders, and coordinating with various departments to ensure a smooth procure-to-pay process.

The ideal candidate holds an accounting diploma and has 1–2 years AP experience, preferably in luxury hospitality. We offer a robust benefits package within a renowned global hotel brand in Amsterdam.

  • At least 1–2 years of accounts payable experience, preferably in hospitality.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and procure-to-pay processes.
  • Experience with hotel accounting systems or ERP platforms is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Process supplier invoices accurately with proper approvals and coding.
  • Match invoices against purchase orders and goods received notes; resolve discrepancies.
  • Serve as main contact for suppliers and respond to inquiries professionally.
  • Collaborate with Procurement, Receiving and Operating Departments to ensure smooth P2P flow.
  • Maintain organized filing (physical and digital) for AP documents.
  • Assist with month-end closing activities including AP review, accruals and reconciliations.

As Accounts Payable, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Process supplier invoices accurately and promptly, ensuring appropriate approvals, correct coding, and compliance with hotel policies, company guidelines, and statutory requirements;

  • Match invoices against purchase orders, contracts, and goods received notes, resolving discrepancies in a timely and professional manner;

  • Act as a professional point of contact for suppliers, addressing inquiries and resolving issues in a courteous and timely manner;

  • Collaborate closely with Procurement, Receiving, and Operating Departments to ensure smooth procure‑to‑pay flow;

  • Maintain a well‑organized, auditable filing system (physical and digital) for all accounts payable documentation;

  • Assist with month‑end closing activities, including AP review, accruals, and reconciliations.

As Accounts Payable Clerk we expect from you:

  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field;

  • At least 1–2 years of accounts payable experience, preferably within a hotel or hospitality environment; exposure to luxury or international brands is an advantage;

  • Basic understanding of accounting principles, procure‑to‑pay processes, and internal controls;

  • Experience with hotel accounting systems or ERP platforms is preferred.
