Job summary

CooperVision Limited in the Netherlands seeks an experienced finance professional to join our accounting team. You will ensure compliance with US GAAP, Dutch GAAP, and internal controls, and support statutory accounts.

Responsibilities include reconciliations, financial reporting, budgeting, supplier inquiries, and liaison with external auditors. The role offers hybrid work with on-site presence in Eerbeek and some remote days.

Qualifications

• Degree or qualification in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum 5 years accounting/finance experience
• Experience with US GAAP/SOX and Dutch regulations preferred
• Experience in a European subsidiary and matrix organizations is a plus

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with US GAAP, SOX, and Dutch GAAP
• Maintain and monitor accounting processes and procedures
• Assist in the preparation of statutory accounts and support external audits
• Support the implementation and monitoring of financial controls
• Perform balance sheet and account reconciliations
• Prepare financial analyses, reports, and management information
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
• Process purchase invoices and respond to supplier inquiries
• Manage Accounts Receivable activities and monitor DSO
• Manage bank reconciliations and cash flow reporting
• Coordinate and support Concur expense management processes
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
• Maintain bank accounts and cash books

Job description

• Manage bank reconciliations and cash flow reporting.

Qualifications

• Strong accounting knowledge and expertise.
• Knowledge of US GAAP and SOX requirements is preferred.
• Familiarity with Dutch tax regulations.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics is preferred.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Living in the surroundigs of Eerbeek
• Working at the office, working at home possible for maximum of 2 days

Experience

• Experience working in a European subsidiary of a U.S.-based multinational organization.
• Experience operating within a matrix organization.

Education

• Degree or qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (MBO+/HBO level or equivalent).
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting and finance experience.
