Job summary

CooperVision, based in the Netherlands near Eerbeek, seeks an experienced accounting professional to ensure compliance with US GAAP, SOX, and Dutch GAAP. The role supports statutory accounts, audits, and internal controls, handling reconciliations, cash flow, and financial reporting.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in European subsidiaries of US multinational firms, strong Excel and Dynamics skills, and English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal control requirements (US GAAP, SOX, and Dutch GAAP).
• Maintain and monitor accounting processes and procedures.
• Assist in the preparation of statutory accounts and support external audits.
• Support the implementation and monitoring of financial controls.
• Perform balance sheet and account reconciliations.
• Prepare financial analyses, reports, and management information.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Process purchase invoices and respond to supplier inquiries.
• Manage Accounts Receivable and monitor DSO.
• Perform supplier account reconciliations.
• Manage bank reconciliations and cash flow reporting.
• Coordinate and support Concur expense management processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Maintain bank accounts and cash books.

• Perform supplier account reconciliations.

• Maintain bank accounts and cash books.

Qualifications

• Strong accounting knowledge and expertise.
• Knowledge of US GAAP and SOX requirements is preferred.
• Familiarity with Dutch tax regulations.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics is preferred.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Living in the surroundigs of Eerbeek
• Working at the office, working at home possible for maximum of 2 days

Experience

• Experience working in a European subsidiary of a U.S.-based multinational organization.
• Experience operating within a matrix organization.

Education

• Degree or qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (MBO+/HBO level or equivalent).
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting and finance experience.
