The role emphasizes US GAAP reporting, Order-to-Cash, and SOX controls, requiring a Master’s in Accounting/Finance and 10+ years of accounting experience with Big 4 exposure. Proficiency in English is essential.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.
• US CPA strongly preferred/required.
• 10+ years of accounting experience including leadership.
• Big 4 and in-house experience combined.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and reporting processes.
• Excellent English written and spoken.
• Experience with SAP and advanced Excel is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee international accounting and reporting activities under US GAAP.
• Support and improve Order-to-Cash and revenue accounting processes.
• Lead accounting and finance projects and drive process improvements as the business scales.
• Partner with commercial, finance, and other teams on accounting and reporting topics.
• Oversee month-end close, reconciliations, controls, and audit activities.
• Support SOX compliance and internal control requirements.

Our client is a growing pharmaceutical company in a scale-up phase, with ambitious plans for continued international growth.

They are looking for a driven accounting leader who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and can manage strategic topics with a willingness to roll up their sleeves and work in the details.

You will work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams, taking ownership of accounting processes, reporting, controls, and improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities of the Accounting Associate Director:

• Lead and oversee international accounting and reporting activities, ensuring accurate and timely reporting under US GAAP
• Support and improve the Order-to-Cash and revenue accounting processes
• Lead accounting and finance projects and drive process improvements as the business scales
• Partner with commercial, finance, and other business teams on accounting and reporting topics
• Oversee month-end close, reconciliations, controls, and audit activities
• Support SOX compliance and internal control requirements.
• Provide guidance and coaching to team members and contribute to the development of the wider accounting function
• Work closely with senior management and external partners on key accounting and reporting matters

Requirements:

• A Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; US CPA strongly preferred/required
• 10+ years of relevant Accounting experience, including leadership experience
• Big 4 and in-house experience combined
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and accounting/reporting processes
• Ambitious, proactive, and comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Experience with process improvement, controls, and cross-functional projects
• Excellent English, both written and spoken
• Experience with SAP and advanced Excel is a plus
