Job summary

EMEA Recruitment is seeking a driven Accounting Associate Director for a scaling pharmaceutical client in Amsterdam. You will own accounting processes, reporting, controls, and improvement projects, leading cross-functional collaboration with senior leadership.

The role emphasizes US GAAP reporting, Order-to-Cash, and SOX controls, requiring a Master’s in Accounting/Finance and 10+ years of accounting experience with Big 4 exposure. Proficiency in English is essential.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.
• US CPA strongly preferred/required.
• 10+ years of accounting experience including leadership.
• Big 4 and in-house experience combined.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and reporting processes.
• Excellent English written and spoken.
• Experience with SAP and advanced Excel is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee international accounting and reporting activities under US GAAP.
• Support and improve Order-to-Cash and revenue accounting processes.
• Lead accounting and finance projects and drive process improvements as the business scales.
• Partner with commercial, finance, and other teams on accounting and reporting topics.
• Oversee month-end close, reconciliations, controls, and audit activities.
• Support SOX compliance and internal control requirements.
