Job summary

Sekankoe Engineering seeks an experienced Accountant for permanent, on-site work in Middelburg, Mpumalanga. The role supports financial reporting, budgeting, and revenue management.

You will maintain ledgers, prepare management accounts, perform reconciliations, monitor cash flow, and assist with audits and statutory submissions. Applicants should have a degree or diploma in accounting and proficiency with Sage or Pastel and Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or National Diploma in Accounting, Financial Management, or related field.
• At least three years' relevant accounting experience in reporting, reconciliations, budgeting, and revenue management.
• Proficiency in Sage Accounting or Pastel, with advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience in management accounts and audit support.
• No criminal record; valid Code B driver's licence or higher; and medically and physically fit.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger and process journals, accruals, provisions, and adjustments.
• Prepare management accounts, financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and supporting schedules.
• Complete bank, debtor, creditor, and general ledger reconciliations and resolve differences.
• Monitor revenue, expenditure, cash flow, and budget variances and report material issues.
• Oversee invoicing, receipts, collections, accounts payable, and accounts receivable processing.
• Support statutory submissions, year-end procedures, audits, financial controls, and stakeholder queries.
