About the role
Location: Netherlands (home office based, with regular customer visits across Benelux) Approximately 80% of your customers are in the Netherlands, 20% in Belgium.
We are seeking an experienced Account Manager Specialty Coffee to join our commercial team and drive growth across the Benelux market. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for a portfolio of high‑value specialty coffee accounts including independent roasters, specialty retail chains, and on‑trade partners building long‑term relationships and translating deep category knowledge into commercial results. You will work closely with internal marketing, supply chain, and trade marketing teams to develop tailored account plans and bring our specialty coffee portfolio to life at the point of sale.
This is a field sales role. You will spend most of your week on the road visiting specialty coffee customers: independent roasters, specialty retailers, coffee bars and regional chains. Around 80% of your accounts are in the Netherlands and 20% in Belgium, so you will be based in the Netherlands.
Key responsibilities include:
- Visiting specialty coffee customers across the Benelux on a regular call cycle, building the kind of relationships that get you shelf space, demo units and staff who recommend our machines.
- Growing sell-out with the existing Sage reseller network: right range, right price points, right visibility in store.
- Building the Lelit network from the ground up, identifying and opening new specialty accounts that suit a prosumer espresso range.
- Agreeing simple account plans with your customers covering range, distribution and promotional activity, supported by your sales mentor for the bigger commitments.
- Running product training and demos with retail staff and baristas so they can sell the product with confidence.
- Bringing launches, activations and seasonal campaigns to life at the point of sale, working with our trade marketing team.
- Using sell-out and market data to spot where you are winning, where stock or pricing needs attention, and where the next opportunity is.
- Representing Sage, Lelit and Baratza at trade events and in the Benelux specialty coffee community.
Salary €60,000 - €65,000
We're Interested in Hearing from People Who Have:
- 2+ years of account manager experience, ideally with in consumer electronic retail (SDA) / reseller accounts, or specialty coffee retail and who are ready for the next step in their career.
- Deep affinity with the specialty coffee community you know your single origin from your blend, your burr grinder from your blade, and you can hold a credible conversation with a Q-grader or a boutique roaster
- Experience visiting retail accounts in the field, and the confidence to sit in a head office meeting with support from a senior colleague.
- Energy for both sides of the job: looking after a large existing network of Sage resellers and building the Lelit network.
- Comfort with numbers. You can read a sell-out report, work out a margin, and use both to make a case.
- A well-developed network within the Benelux specialty retail, e-commerce, or on‑trade landscape, with existing relationships that can be activated from day one
- Experience working cross‑functionally with marketing, supply chain, and finance teams to deliver joint account plans and activations
- Fluency in Dutch and English; French is a strong advantage for coverage of the Belgian market
- A self‑starting, entrepreneurial mindset comfortable with ambiguity, able to prioritise independently, and energised by building something rather than maintaining the status quo
- A driving licence and willingness to travel across the Benelux.
