Job summary

Monex Europe is seeking a Senior Executive to own the Italian revenue book, originate new business and manage end-to-end pipeline within a European FX and payments context. You will lead client relationships in Italian, collaborate with compliance and risk teams, and mentor junior colleagues on best practices while driving sustainable revenue growth.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English and Italian is mandatory.
• 5–7 years' experience in FX, international payments or financial markets sales, with a proven track record of revenue delivery against target.
• Strong commercial negotiation skills and comfort owning pricing and margin conversations.
• Solid understanding of the regulatory environment governing FX and payments in Europe.
• Track record of building and managing a pipeline in a target-driven environment.

About the Role

As a Senior Executive covering the Italian market, you own a personal revenue book and are accountable for hitting weekly, monthly and quarterly targets — in full alignment with our code of conduct and regulatory obligations. You originate and close new business with Italian-speaking corporates and institutions, manage your own pipeline end to end, and build long-term client relationships. As a senior member of the desk you also set the standard for how Monex sells: clients' long-term interests first, fair outcomes, sustainable revenue — and you support more junior colleagues through informal mentoring and by sharing best practice.

Reporting Line

This position reports directly to the Head of Desk and carries visibility across the business. You will be based in Amsterdam, working closely with Dealing, Compliance, Credit & Risk, Operations and Marketing — and you will gain exposure across our different offices, partnering with colleagues in London, Madrid and the wider Monex network as the desk grows.

Key Responsibilities

• Revenue & commercial ownership Own your individual daily, weekly and quarterly revenue performance against agreed targets and KPIs
• Originate new business in the Italian market through outbound activity, referrals and your professional network
• Lead commercial negotiations with clients, ensuring commerciality and margin discipline
• Feed insight from your client conversations back to the Head of Desk on new products and initiatives that will grow revenue
• Client relationships & market coverage Manage and grow a portfolio of Italian-speaking corporate and institutional clients
• Act as trusted adviser on FX exposure, hedging strategy and international payments
• Deepen existing relationships through structured account planning and regular review
• Sales process & enablement Build and maintain a disciplined pipeline with accurate forecasting
• Apply sales best practice consistently and share it with less experienced colleagues on the desk
• Ensure client databases (FXDB, Salesforce, pipeline trackers) are used effectively and turned into competitive advantage
• Conduct, risk & regulatory Balance revenue delivery with Monex's compliance framework, working under the direction of the Head of Desk
• Adhere to Compliance policies — Treating Customers Fairly, Pricing, Gifts & Entertainment, Complaints, Training & Competence
• Escalate complaints and conduct breaches promptly and support investigations as required
• Ensure all sales activity is logged and maintained per regulatory requirements (call recordings, FXDB logs, correspondence)
• Flag systems and controls weaknesses and conflicts of interest, and participate in Sales Audits and Risk Assessments
• Market presence Stay commercially sharp on competitor activity in the Italian market and use professional networks to inform your approach
• Contribute to distribution and marketing activity for the desk, including materials, presentations and roadshows
• Represent Monex at client events and industry conferences

Requirements

• Fluency in English and Italian is mandatory — English is the working language across Monex Europe, and you will lead client relationships in Italian. Additional European languages are a plus.
• Approximately 5–7 years' experience in FX, international payments or financial markets sales, with a proven track record of revenue delivery against target.
• Strong commercial negotiation skills and comfort owning pricing and margin conversations.
• Solid understanding of the regulatory environment governing FX and payments in Europe.
• Track record of building and managing a pipeline in a target-driven environment.
• Appetite to mentor junior colleagues and, in time, progress towards a leadership role.
