Job summary

Magna Exteriors seeks a Mold Maker Journeyman to construct, repair, and maintain injection molds using engineering drawings and precision tooling. The role involves welding, fabrication, and part replacement to support production and engineering needs.

The candidate will read blueprints, operate CNC mills and other machine tools, and ensure high-quality, safely completed work within a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of a U.S. DOL-certified 5-year apprenticeship in mold making or related trade.
• Valid driver's license and powered industrial truck permit.
• English proficiency with strong communication skills; bilingual (Spanish) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and sketches to build or repair molds with precise tolerances.
• Perform complex welding repairs and component replacements.
• Disassemble, inspect, and replace mold components during preventive maintenance.
• Operate CNC mills, lathes, drill presses, and grinders to fabricate tooling.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and documentation for mold work.
