Job summary

Wefabricate is seeking a Mechanical Engineer focused on product design, mold design, and injection molding. You will transform concepts into manufacturable products through expert mold design and process development.

You will manage the full product lifecycle from 3D modeling to designing complex injection molds, and work with tooling, testing, and production teams to bring designs to life.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in injection molding, preferably in a production environment.
• Proficient with CAD software; SolidWorks experience preferred.
• Affinitiy for Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles.

The job:

Mechanical Engineer - Mold Design/Injection Molding

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer with a focus on product design, mold design, and injection molding. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming concepts into manufacturable, functional products through expert mold design and process development. You will manage the full product lifecycle - from 3D modeling and DFM (Design for Manufacturability) analysis to designing complex injection molds, and working with the team on tooling, testing, and production.

This role is perfect for hands-on designers who enjoy working in a dynamic environment and thrive on close collaboration with manufacturing teams.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field

Work experience in injection molding, preferably in a production environment

Proficient with CAD software - SolidWorks experience preferred

Familiarity with quality processes and standards (Preferred)

Experience with medical product development

Strong affinity for Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles

Solid knowledge of product design, mold design, and injection molding

Self-motivated and eager to take ownership of technical challenges

Able to work independently, while also collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team
