Van Oord is seeking a 3rd Officer starting a maritime career to support safe navigation and vessel operations during watch. You will be part of an international crew on challenging projects contributing to energy transition, with opportunities to grow leadership skills and professional responsibilities.

You will work under experienced colleagues, gain exposure to innovative offshore projects, and develop towards higher ranks in a safety-focused environment.

Formación

• Officer of the Watch or equivalent qualification is required.
• Valid STCW certification and seagoing documentation.
• Seafarers medical certificate is mandatory.
• Good command of English, written and spoken.
• Proactive and safety-conscious attitude.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with navigational watchkeeping duties and bridge administration.
• Support routine offshore and deck operations following procedures.
• Maintain, inspect and test safety and lifesaving equipment.
• Maintain operational, safety and statutory records.
• Participate in emergency response drills and promote onboard safety.

THE POSITION

As a 3rd Officer, you are at the start of your career at sea. You support the safe navigation operational performance of the vessel during your watch. You act as a member of the crew helping to ensure that navigational, safety and operational activities are carried out in line with rules and regulations and Van Oord's high safety standards. Working closely with your team, you will gain valuable experience on internationally operating vessels while further developing your professional and leadership skills.

YOUR IMPACT

As a 3rd Officer, you contribute to safe and efficient operations by supporting the team. Through active participation in daily operations, you help maintain rules, regulations, and operations.

• Assisting with navigational watchkeeping duties and bridge administration;
• Supporting routine offshore and deck operations in accordance with established procedures;
• Maintaining, inspecting and testing safety and lifesaving equipment;
• Maintaining operational, safety and statutory records;
• Participating in emergency response drills and promoting a safe onboard working environment.
