Job summary

Van Oord is seeking a 3rd Officer to start a maritime career aboard our international fleet. You will support safe navigation and operational performance during your watch, contributing to compliance with rules, safety standards, and the company’s stringent procedures.

You will learn through hands-on duties across navigational watchkeeping, deck operations, and safety equipment management while developing leadership and nautical skills for future promotions on challenging offshore projects

Qualifications

• Valid Officer of the Watch Unlimited certificate.
• Valid STCW certification and seagoing documentation.
• Seafarers medical certificate must be valid.
• Proficient English language, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with navigational watchkeeping duties and bridge administration.
• Supporting routine offshore and deck operations in accordance with procedures.
• Maintaining, inspecting and testing safety and lifesaving equipment.
• Maintaining operational, safety and statutory records.
• Participating in emergency response drills and promoting a safe onboard environment.
