Job summary

Van Oord is seeking a motivated 3rd Officer to start a maritime career and contribute to safe navigation and vessel operations. You will support watchkeeping, bridge administration, and safety procedures while developing your nautical knowledge and dredging experience.

You will hold an Officer of the Watch (Unlimited), STCW and seagoing documents, a seafarer's medical certificate, and strong English communication skills. A proactive safety mindset is essential.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with navigational watchkeeping duties and bridge administration.
• Supporting routine dredging and deck operations in accordance with established procedures.
• Maintaining, inspecting and testing safety and lifesaving equipment.
• Maintaining operational, safety and statutory records.
• Participating in emergency response drills and promoting a safe onboard working environment.
