Job summary

PERSOL Malaysia is seeking a skilled engineer to support the development and manufacturing of Optical Interposer products. The role focuses on yield and performance improvement through data-driven defect analysis and root-cause resolution.

You will collaborate with internal teams and fabrication partners to ensure high-quality, reliable optical engine designs, and will implement systematic approaches to reduce defects and improve manufacturability.

Qualifications

• Experience in yield improvement in optoelectronics or semiconductor manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of semiconductor physics and engineering fundamentals.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and thermal failure mechanisms.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize Optical Interposer products for yield and performance.
• Lead yield improvement and defect reduction initiatives across designs.
• Perform data analysis and root-cause fault isolation for yield issues.
• Define failure modes and quantify fallout to support corrective actions.
• Monitor and present yield data from fabrication partners.
• Develop checklists and lessons learned to sustain yield improvements.
• Conduct yield correlation and failure-analysis work and support other tasks.
