Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a dedicated professional to operate a wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) and ensure compliance with DOE standards. You will prepare reports, supervise sludge handling, manage chemical storage, and troubleshoot issues, coordinating with Production, QC, Maintenance and Safety teams.

The role requires a diploma in Environmental Engineering or related field, 1–2 years' WWTP experience, and knowledge of laboratory testing procedures; DOE regulations familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Environmental Engineering, Water Technology, or related field.
• 1-2 years of relevant WWTP operations experience.
• Familiar with operation and maintenance of WWTP equipment and laboratory testing procedures.
• Knowledge of DOE regulations is a plus.
• CePIETSO-PCP/BP certification preferred; CePSWaM is an added advantage.
• Able to work independently and manage responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Operate wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) and ensure smooth and efficient processes.
• Meet DOE standards and liaise with DOE for compliance matters.
• Prepare reports and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Supervise sludge handling and wastewater management.
• Manage chemical storage, usage and stock records.
• Identify and troubleshoot operational issues and implement corrective actions.
• Carry out installation, maintenance and repair of equipment per safety standards.
• Coordinate daily activities with Production, QC, Maintenance and Safety Team.
