Job summary

PKT LOGISTICS (M) SDN. BHD. is hiring a Workforce and Talent Development Manager in Penang to lead the complete people agenda for our in-house logistics operation supporting a major MNC semiconductor equipment manufacturer.

This role goes beyond admin HR, requiring hands-on ownership from problem identification to execution. The ideal candidate has 7–10 years of HR experience with managerial responsibility, strong recruitment and training capabilities, and solid knowledge of RBA and Malaysian

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in HR, Business, Management or related discipline.
• Approximately 7-10 years' HR experience, preferably with managerial responsibility.
• Experience in 3PL, logistics, semiconductor, electronics, manufacturing or MNC operations preferred.
• Good working knowledge of RBA practices.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian employment practices.
• Proven experience in recruitment, training/talent development and employee retention.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Own the full employee lifecycle: onboarding, attendance, performance, discipline, grievances, confirmation, promotion and separation.
• Partner with Operations and customer stakeholders on manpower, employee relations and workforce matters.
• Drive recruitment and workforce planning for operators, executives, supervisors and managerial positions; monitor vacancies, lead time, turnover and manpower fulfilment.
• Ensure HR practices comply with RBA requirements, Malaysian employment requirements, company policies and customer expectations; support audits and corrective actions.
• Develop Training Needs Analysis (TNA), competency matrices and annual training plans; conduct or coordinate onboarding, operational, soft-skills and leadership training.
• Build employee capability in Lean/Continuous Improvement, problem solving, 5S, teamwork, leadership and customer mindset.
• Analyse turnover, absenteeism and employee feedback; develop practical retention, engagement, succession and career-development initiatives.
• Use HR data and KPIs to identify workforce issues, recommend solutions and follow through to closure.

This is not a conventional administrative HR role.
