Job summary

ams OSRAM Opto Semiconductors in Kulim, Malaysia, is seeking an associate engineer to maintain Wet Chemistry equipment including Metal Lift-off systems, Chemical Spray tools, Wet Benches, and SRD tools, improving uptime, yield, and cost efficiency.

The role requires hands-on experience with Veeco, Siconnex Spray and SCREEN Wet Bench tools, performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, equipment setup and qualification, and training junior technicians while upholding 5S, cleanroom and

Qualifications

• Diploma required in a relevant engineering discipline.
• 5+ years hands-on experience in Wet Benches, Spray tools, and single-wafer chamber systems (Veeco, Siconnex, SCREEN).
• 5+ years experience in semiconductor/foundry environment preferred.
• Fluent in English and Malay (verbal & written).
• Good interpersonal skills, responsible and able to handle stress.
• Able to work in rotating shift pattern.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Wet Chemistry equipment including Metal Lift-off systems, Chemical Spray tools, Wet Benches, and SRD tools; perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Provide line support for equipment setup, recovery and corrective maintenance to meet KPIs.
• Assist in process transfers and new implementations; support projects to improve uptime, yield, and cost efficiency.
• Provide guidance and training to junior technicians and technicians.
