Job summary

ams OSRAM Opto Semiconductors seeks a maintenance technician to support Wet department equipment, focusing on setup, recovery, and corrective actions. Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree and 3+ years in Wet Benches, spray tools, and single-wafer chambers (Veeco, Siconnex, SCREEN) within a semiconductor/foundry context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical & Electronics, Mechanical, Chemical, Automation or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Wet Benches, Spray tools, and single-wafer chamber systems in a semiconductor/foundry environment.
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to handle stress.

Responsibilities

• Provide line support for equipment setup, recovery and corrective maintenance to meet KPIs in the Wet department.
• Evaluate and improve maintenance controls and procedures to maximize equipment reliability and lifespan.
• Perform advanced machine troubleshooting; knowledge of Wet tools is a must.
• Ensure conformance to 5S and safety rules; support new tools setup, installation and qualification.
• Maintain inventory of critical spare parts to minimize downtime.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities in parts, maintenance and operations while maintaining quality.
• Develop equipment training programs and participate in troubleshooting and quality improvement projects.

Job description

The ams OSRAM Opto Semiconductors business offers high-performance opto semiconductor components and in-depth support for state-of-the-art system solutions based on innovative semiconductor light sources. The Business Unit can look back on almost fifty years of production and development expertise.

• Provide line support for equipment setup, recovery & corrective maintenance to meet KPIs defined in the Wet department.
• Evaluate and improve maintenance controls and procedures to maximize equipment reliability and lifespan.
• Able to Perform advance machine troubleshooting. Knowledge to Wet tools (Metal Lift-off, Chemical Spray tool, Wet Benches and SRD tool) is a must.
• Conformance to 5S and safety rules and regulation.Support the new tools setup, installation & qualification.Maintain an inventory of critical equipment spare parts to minimize downtime and ensure the availability of necessary components.
• Identify opportunities to reduce costs related to equipment parts, maintenance, and operations while maintaining high-quality standards. Support process team for evaluation & process verification. Mitigate risk capacity and capability bottleneck.
• Develop good equipment training program to bring up good maintenance skill among associate engineers and technicians. Participate in troubleshooting and quality improvement projects to enhance equipment reliability and production outcomes.

• A bachelor’s degree in electronic, Electrical & Electronics, Mechanical, Chemical, Automation or equivalent.
  At least with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in Wet Benches, Spray tools, and single-wafer chamber systems such as Veeco, Siconnex, and SCREEN with relevant experience in semiconductor/foundry environment.
