Job summary

KMWE Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a welding technician to perform welding works according to approved drawings and quality standards in Penang.

You will read blueprints, measure workpieces, identify defects, and assist engineers in solving welding quality issues while maintaining equipment and a clean, safe work environment.

The role requires a certificate or diploma in welding and good teamwork and communication skills; the ideal candidate is willing to learn and develop technical skills.

Qualifications

• Certificate, Professional Certificate or Diploma in Welding/Welding technology or equivalent; or 1 to 2 years of related working experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Able to calculate and measure dimensions required for welding work.
• Able to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, work orders, and welding symbols.
• Good attention to detail with strong workmanship and quality awareness.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• A good team player who can work effectively with colleagues and employees at all levels.
• Willing to learn and develop technical skills.
