DOMINO Design & Prototyping SDN. BHD. in Selangor is seeking a skilled Welder for our manufacturing and prototyping operations. This full-time role based in Taman Putra Perdana involves delivering high-quality welded components that meet our precision engineering standards.

You will perform MIG, TIG, and stick welding, read drawings, prepare work areas, maintain equipment, and ensure safety in a fast-paced environment. Relevant AWS/ASME certifications are highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as welder with multiple techniques.
• Read and interpret welding drawings and specs.
• Strict adherence to welding safety procedures and best practices.
• Experience with mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium.
• Desirable AWS/ASME certifications and prototyping exposure.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG, TIG, and stick welding on various materials.
• Read blueprints and welding specs to meet tolerances.
• Prepare and position parts; clean and secure before welding.
• Operate and maintain welding equipment; conduct routine checks.
• Inspect welds for quality, strength, and conformance to specs.
• Collaborate with team to ensure workflow and timely delivery.
• Uphold health and safety regulations in the workshop.
• Assist with setup and breakdown of workstations as needed.

About the role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Welder to join DOMINO Design & Prototyping SDN. BHD. This is a full-time position based in Taman Putra Perdana, Selangor. As a Welder, you will play a critical role in our manufacturing and prototyping operations, delivering high-quality welded components and assemblies that meet our exacting standards. Your expertise will be essential to maintaining our reputation for precision engineering and quality craftsmanship across our diverse range of projects.

Key responsibilities

• Perform manual and semi-automatic welding operations using various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding, on a range of materials and thicknesses
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding specifications to ensure work meets required standards and tolerances
• Prepare work areas and materials by cleaning, positioning, and securing components prior to welding
• Operate and maintain welding equipment, ensuring all tools are in proper working condition and performing routine maintenance as required
• Inspect completed welds for quality, strength, and adherence to specifications, identifying and reporting any defects or inconsistencies
• Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of projects
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by adhering to health and safety regulations and company policies
• Assist with the setup and breakdown of work stations and equipment as needed

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Welder, with demonstrated proficiency in multiple welding techniques and processes
• Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and welding specifications accurately
• Sound understanding of welding safety procedures and best practices, with a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
• Experience working with various materials, including mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium
• Good hand-eye coordination and fine motor control for precision welding work
• Attention to detail and quality consciousness, with the ability to work to tight tolerances
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Physical fitness and stamina to perform standing work and handle heavy materials
• Relevant welding certifications or qualifications (such as AWS, ASME, or equivalent) are highly desirable
• Experience in a prototyping or design-focused manufacturing environment would be advantageous
