AMETECH INDUSTRIES SDN. BHD. in Penang seeks a skilled welder/fabrication technician to join our workshop. You will fabricate small and large piece parts and structures using TIG or MIG welding, while reading drawings and applying dimensions to spec.

You will supervise helpers, log jobs in the Infohub portal, and uphold strict safety and 5S standards. The role requires practical welding experience, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to ad-hoc assignments from management.

Qualificações

• Ability to read drawings and interpret specifications.
• Experience welding with TIG or MIG processes.
• Follow safety regulations and wear PPE at all times.

Responsabilidades

• Fabricate parts and structures using TIG or MIG welding.
• Read drawings and weld to specifications.
• Direct helpers in the welding process.
• Log jobs and report line downs or defective parts in Infohub.
• Maintain safety with PPE and orderly workstation.
• Support 5S at the workstation.
• Complete ad-hoc assignments as required.

Responsible for fabrication of small and large piece parts and structures with materials such as aluminium, mild steel and stainless steel, using TIG or MIG welding processes.

Key responsibilities

Execute work according to work instructions, standard procedures and requirements in drawings by reading drawings, measuring, cutting, grinding and tack welding using various power tools and equipment such as grinders, cutters and drills

Fulfil drawing specifications by carrying out welding on parts and structures

Direct activities of personnel helping or assisting in the welding process

Log on and log off jobs, detect and report line down and defective parts and materials in Infohub portal

Follow safety regulations such as wearing PPE including heat-resistant gloves, welding shield and safety shoes

Support production 5S by keeping work station clean and orderly to retain a safe and operational work environment

Complete ad-hoc assignments as required by management
