Job summary

HSBC is seeking an ambitious Primary Banker to join the International Wealth and Premier Banking team in Malaysia. You will work with colleagues to define, manage and achieve divisional targets, focusing on growing the retail wealth business and delivering personalised financial solutions.

The role requires strong relationship-building, knowledge of personal banking products, and the ability to promote digital channels while ensuring compliance with Bank policies.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in personal banking preferred; SPM with 5 credits may qualify.
• Licensing in wealth products (PCE/TBE/CEILI/FIMM) is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of personal banking products (cards, loans, deposits).
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
• Conversant in Shariah knowledge and compliance.
• Immediate right to work locally will be prioritized.

Responsibilities

• To increase sales revenue of HSBC financial products via various sales activities.
• To build strategic relationships with existing and new customers.
• To conduct market reviews and understand customers' financial needs.
• To promote and deliver our digital channel and Life Sign Technology to New to Bank or Existing to Bank customers.
• To share digital know-how to customers to create awareness and increase the adoption rate.
• To drive wealth referrals specifically investments to Premier colleagues.
• To ensure compliance with products and sales policies, procedures and guidelines set by the Bank and the relevant authorities are adhered and complied to at all times.
• To ensure high quality data input in customer records, transaction processing and reporting including but not limited to account opening, financing processing and other banking services.
• Grow the Retail Amanah business while upholding high integrity and ensure branch's adherence to Shariah-compliant sales and service excellence.
