Job summary

You will inspect equipment, collect samples, adjust dosing, and maintain logs while coordinating with maintenance and contractors to keep processes efficient.

A Diploma or certificate in a technical field and at least one year in similar duties are preferred; physically fit to work in plant environment.

Qualifications

• Certificate, Diploma or vocational training in a technical field.
• Minimum 1 year of working experience in wastewater treatment plant operations preferred.
• Basic knowledge of wastewater treatment processes, pumps, valves, and chemical dosing systems.
• Able to perform routine inspections, equipment monitoring, and basic troubleshooting.
• Physically fit and willing to work in a plant operation environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor the wastewater treatment plant according to SOPs.
• Inspect treatment equipment, pumps, blowers, tanks, pipelines, and instrumentation.
• Monitor pH, DO, MLSS, COD, BOD, turbidity, and flow rates.
• Collect samples for laboratory analysis and adjust dosing to optimize performance.
• Perform preventive maintenance and basic repairs on mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Troubleshoot issues and report to supervisor.
• Maintain operational logs and daily reports; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with maintenance staff and contractors during servicing and shutdowns.
• Handle chemicals safely and manage storage and inventory.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in continuous improvement.
