Job summary

Farm Fresh Berhad in Johor Bahru is seeking a Supervising IETS Operations specialist to oversee the day-to-day running of the Industrial Effluent Treatment System and ensure compliance with the Environmental Quality Act 1974.

You will monitor process performance, conduct sampling and lab analysis, and maintain detailed records while reporting to management. A CePIETSO-BP certificate and 2–5 years of relevant experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must hold at least Professional Certificate or higher in Engineering or Chemical (Env/Health/Safety).
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• CePIETSO-BP certificate required.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in food manufacturing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the Industrial Effluent Treatment System (IETS).
• Ensure compliance with Environmental Quality Act 1974.
• Monitor process performance and identify abnormalities.
• Perform or supervise sampling and lab analysis of effluent.
• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly performance reports and maintain records.

Job description

Supervising IETS Operations: Overseeing the day-to-day running of an Industrial Effluent Treatment System.

Ensuring Compliance: Making sure the facility's effluent treatment meets the standards set by the Environmental Quality Act 1974.

Monitoring Performance: Regularly checking parameters, comparing them to recommended ranges, and identifying any abnormalities in the treatment process.

Conducting Analysis And Sampling: Performing or supervising the sampling and analysis of the effluent and conduct lab analysis.

Improving Operations: Contributing to improvements in the performance and operation of the IETS.

Managing The Equipment: Being responsible for the equipment and all related activities of the effluent treatment plant.

Reporting: Preparing report for performance monitoring on daily basis, report to the superior for weekly basis and reporting to management by monthly basis.

Record Keeping: They are responsible for maintaining accurate records of the IETS operations.

Education & Skills Requirement:

Candidate must possess at least Professional Certificate, Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Engineering or Chemical (Environmental/Health/Safety) or equivalent.

Required language(s): English, Bahasa Malaysia.

Must posses Certified Environmental Professional in the Operation of Industrial Effluent Treatment Systems - Biological Proses (CePIETSO - BP) and knowledge in EQA 1974.

Working in Manufacturing Food Industry is preferred.

2 to 5 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
